چکیده

Abstract Several Aureobasidium spp. strains isolated from wild environments during winter 2022 were characterized by sequence analysis of the internal transcribed spacer (ITS), translation elongation factor EF-1α gene (EF1), and part elongase (ELO). The variability in EF1 ELO loci are higher than ITS. All but one (UC14), identified as A. pullulans . To assess effectiveness biocontrol agents (BCAs) diseases occurring postharvest storage, a selection was evaluated vitro vivo assays. On average, reduction Monilinia colony growth more marked for non-volatile metabolites volatile (VOCs). Strain UC14 provided strongest mycelial fructicola VOCs (66%). According to results , all effective controlling brown rot cold storage remarkably restricting polystroma In particular, VB23 most incidence, 80%, 60%, 100%, severity, 79.5%, 72.7% laxa, M. fructicola, polystroma, respectively.

Biocontrol activity of an alkaline serine protease from Aureobasidium pullulans expressed in Pichia pastoris against four postharvest pathogens on apple.

The yeast-like fungus Aureobasidium pullulans PL5 is a microbial antagonist against postharvest pathogens of fruits. The strain is able to produce hydrolases, including glucanases, chitinases and proteases. The alkaline serine protease gene ALP5 from A. pullulans was cloned, inserted into the vector pPIC9 to construct pPIC9/ALP5, and then expressed in Pichia pastoris strain KM71. ALP5 had a mol...

Potential of Microbial Antagonists as Biocontrol Agents against Plant Fungal Pathogens

A variety of fungi are known to cause important plant diseases, resulting in a significant lost in agricultural crops. The plant diseases need to be controlled to maintain the level of yield both quantitatively and qualitatively. Farmers often rely heavily on the use of synthetic fungicides to control the plant diseases. However, the environmental problems caused by excessive use and misuse of ...

Genetic diversity and biocontrol activity of Aureobasidium pullulans isolates against postharvest rots

Aureobasidium pullulans, a cosmopolitan yeast-like fungus, colonises leaf surfaces and is a potential biocontrol agent for plant pathogens. Forty-one isolates of the fungus from the surface of several fruits and vegetables cultivated in Southern Italy were compared by molecular analysis and biocontrol activity. Characterisation of the isolates by using arbitrarily primed PCR (ap-PCR) confirmed ...
